that, sir, seems to be an O2 sensor wire, thats not supposed to be in two peices and you will need a whole new sensor

Man he just told you its the o2 sensor, he even drew you a circle around it. AND he also told you that it throws a code, read man!! There are two o2 sensors, one in the exaust downpipe, and one after the cat.

I dunno guys, but that doesn't seem to be an OEM CAT or sensor.... when did nissan use a braided cover over the oxygen sensor wire?

the shiny straight test pipe that's polished to a high gloss gives it away; maybe it is an exhaust temp sensor <shrugs> cause I also don't see the hex points to put a socket/wrench to turn it out

to the OP, do you have an OBD II port? plug a scanner in there and let us know what the code is already

HA you see ont an o2 sensor, how should a solid metal heap messure lamda numbers? its have no holes in it, but anyways there was no cable in it, just that metal think that should be slipped over the think again, just saw it as i took the sensor out...

i have nothing at all to find out what the lamps is saying, but should i go for the guide to find out the code with led?!?

since you are in europe i would assume that is a factory sr20 silvia.Idk restrictions on emissions in europe, but that may not have an obd2 setup?Get on some of your european forums and research there.

Its an aftermarket temp sensor, see how the wire runs thru the floor instead of towards the lower transmission harness.

the shiny straight test pipe that's polished to a high gloss gives it away[/quote]yes, OP, pull the ecu and access the codes thru the LEDs, reset the ecu, then drive around if the check engine light goes back on... repeat to make sure the ecu spit out the same code & go from there...

pull the grommet off and take a look at the wire color

is it a blue yellow wire? if so, its a exhaust temp sensor.

the o2 sensor is right behind the turbo.
