Yea, I've always like the s14 and even tho this one turned out to have alot of problems, I was kinda fortunate that I got to trade my civic straight up for it. But yes, fitment is everything and im not gonna settle until its perfect

Those ambers look good but that car has the same dumbass headlights as me. I wish it had the OEMs on it so i could see what it looked like. Im sure you can find those ambers on ebay.

Try to post some pics of that bumper support. I bet you could figure out something without having to fab up an all new one

Sorry guys, no new pics yet. I will try to get some up this weekend. I tried to fit the back bumper and side skirts and they are gonna need a little work. After finding this out, I dropped my car off at the body shop I used to work at. After talking to my boss this morning, he told me that it is going to cost a chunk of money just to get the stuff fitted so I will be picking it back up to attempt it myself.

It looks like I will have to cut out the back support around the exhaust for the new bumper. I will also have to shave some down where it meets the body under the tail lights. After that I am going to have to shave down a little bit around the wheel well area of the bumper and it should go on.

The side skirts will probally need to be trimmed where it slips under the door, have the door raised a tad and than also trim where it meets the wheel wells.

I will try and see if I can rent out some space at the shop so I have all of the tools and a lift...that would make life a hell of alot easier.lol

Ok, I worked on the car a little bit last night and got the new seat mount welded on. I had to cut out a plate from 16ga. steel and weld a nut to it. I traced the original mount, drilled a hole and than cut it out.

I was originaly planing to make the new seat mount like the factory one but when I put the floor pan in, I raised it up more than factory. This caused the seats slider to sit on top of the floor pan. I decided to cut out a spacer and tac weld it in to even it out completely.

After I welded the spacer on, I drilled a hole through both the spacer and floor pan by bolting the seat in and centering the bit in the slider mount hole. After that, I bolted the seat down and got it real tight so I could weld the nut plate on the bottom side.

It isn't the cleanest but it holds good. I still need to go back and grind the welds down but it should be decent when I finish.

Sittin Sideways.lol

And heres my box that I picked up when I was working at an audio shop

Yesterday, I also orderd a gang load of por-15 materials to cover the full interior and prevent it from future rust:-POR-15 six pack of 4oz cans-FLexcote Single Stage Topcoat-Marine Clean-Metal Ready

A little something extra, I ordered some POR15, FlexCote Single Stage Topcoat, Marine Clean and Metal Ready. Now all I have to do is get a cage in and a bucket seat. I may borrow my buddies Bride Low Max to get the cage in but thats the update for today. Once the cage is in, it will be time to freshin up the interior with that stuff so I never have to worry about rust again...also planning on undercoating it and doing the engine bay with the same stuff

Nah, not quite. I havent worked on it any since I cut it out. That will be the next thing to do now. I just got my POR15 rust preventative and I was wainting on that stuff so I would have an idea of how much of everything I was getting or am going to need to get. I do need to fix the quarter panel so I can get working on the side skirts tho. POR15, Flexcote, Marine Clean, Metal Ready and some pouring spouts.

I installed my radiator for a buddy of mine. His bro's radiator broke so he needed a new one and I needed motivation to install mine so I did that and did a write up on it on my local forum.

Check it out and let me know what you guys think.http://www.driftstl.com/forums...44080 And here is the finished product...

You know some FMIC piping and an HKS bov would fix that problem.

New addition to the parts department. I just got my new s.s. russel brake lines from AMS Performance. These things got to my house in about 3 days for ground shipping so props to AMS. And here is my Greddy Type S BOV that I have been holding on to. Can't wait to get it on something.

Well, I swapped the radiator and was gettin ready to goto an autox event when it started overheating. A couple days ago, I swapped the thermostat and it began to over heat but took a little longer to get to hot. Now, I can only guess that the water pump is going out.

I dont want this motor so I'm thinking about just pulling the motor so I can start cleaning my bay and stitchwelding everything. What do you guys think? Is it a good idea for me to jump the gun?

Just be patient i would rebuild and turbo the Ka. it is a potent but difficult motor if u can get the tune just right its the most reliable/powerful engine you can have besides a rb25/26 but even then you would have to rebuild the motor.

Nice Build btw.

Yea, I am planning on swapping in a rb25/26. Idk if theres many good tuners in my area(from what I have heard, thats a no) so I am thinking it would be a safer route to get an already turbo'd motor if that makes sense.

If your gonna go all out on engine and have the cash be badass and go 2jz. Best engine out there and the sky is the limit. Most hp that an rb has seen is about 800 on stock internals. A KA hasnt come close to that. KAs blow up with 10psi and over. why put the cash into a KA when you can go rb or even better 2jz?

Yea, well im already set on a 6 cylinder. I already put the ka radiator in so that means no sr...and I found a 2jz in my area that im gonna try and trade my street bike for.lol. 2jz would be sick but i would be more than satisfied with an rb

if you did a 2jz you would be my idol. The radiator shouldnt matter. The mishimoto i ordered was for a KA/sr. The inlet/outlet are on the same side. jsut gotta mod your pipes a little.

Nah, the difference in the ka radiator and the sr radiator is that the ka has both hot and cold inlets/outlets on the passenger side where the sr has the cold on the drivers and hot on the passengers i believe. That is why I bought the ka rad. because the rb has a similar radiator where both hoses go to the pass. side.

But that would be awesome if I could go 2jz.lol I would run s***...
