sorry if it's the wrong forum. I posted on Mechanic section and i got no reply. Anyways, I'm wondering if S13 and S14 break calipers are the same? I need a new S14 rear caliper and someone has a S13 one to offer, so I need an answer asap. Thanks.

No, they are not. You need S14 calipers, S13 ones will not work. Although, I supposed you COULD swap the whole thing and make it work, but you'd need to do both sides w/ both calipers and rotors, and I believe the S13 calipers are slightly smaller. In all reality though, just about any Nissan caliper of that era will bolt on (fronts at least), but you'll need to do both sides w/ calipers and rotors (I.E. Q45 or Z32 brake swap).

I'm pretty sure there are differences in the e-brake cable bracket design between S13 and S14 calipers. So, even if you could swap everything it would be tough to get your hand brake to work.
