I have a 96 240 and changed the front and rear brakes, new rotors and pads. When changing the rear I had to take the caliper off the brake line for it to compress. I made sure everything was put back on correctly and bleed the complete system 2 times. The cars brakes work but you almost have to hit the floor for it to stop. Any help or suggest would be great. I used Wagner rotors and pads.

It sounds as if you still have an air bubble in the system. Double check to make sure you got all the air out.

Dot 3.

Something I forgot to ask, is the master cylinder still the original factory?
