well I just have a quick question. I need to know what the neutral sensor on the transmission does? I have a redtop in a s14 auto obd2 car the car runs and drives I just have never finsihed the transmission wiring. I need to hook up the two sensors on the transmission the neutral and reverse. The reverse one is easy and hooks to the the wires on the auto transmission harness. Where do I hook up the neutral postion sensor, if I need to at all? Do I hook it up like the wiring guides do for the 5 spd swap and run the neutral sensor wires to the ECU?

Thanks for the Help

Paul

The purpose of the neutral position sensor is the same as a park position sensor on an auto. It is there to make sure the car is in neutral when you start the vehicle. If the car is in gear then the car wont start.

Most people neve use it and the ECU just bypasses its signal.

I have also lost my transmission harness now and need to know what wires on the plug I need for the reverse lights. so I can just not use the auto transmission harness at all.

You need wire colors? Which harness are you using, or chassis if you are just making your own wires.

It should be a two wire plug. Green is the power to the plug. Green/white (manual) or Red (auto) is the wire coming back from the plug that runs to the reverse lights.

I am talking about the 4 plugs next to the fuse box where the auto transmission harness would plug into. I dont have the harness anymore and need to know what color the wires are on the chasis side of the plug for the reverse lights because I dont have the aut harness at all.
