S14 auto speed sensor question.

Hey guys,

I am trying to gather parts for a 5 speed swap in my S14. I bought a used S13 5 speed and I am wondering if I will be able to reuse my auto speed sensor if I purchase the proper 5 speed pinion gear for it? I am getting conflicting reports after searching. Some say yes it will work, others say either maybe or they don't know. Anyone have a definite answer? Thanks!

No, the auto speed sensor itself will not be able to fit in the transmission. It is physically bigger than the the manual sensor. I've heard of people grinding it down to fit, but that is entirely up to you.
