s14 audio problem

I got in my 95 s14 one day and no sound from the radio, it powers up and all but no sound whatsoever. I bought a radio amp and replaced mine but still no go and I even tried another radio. Is there any other thing that controls the sound output for these cars or any suggestions on how to test them?
