I know there are a few cars with alum hoods. Lol the NSX is an example, the whole cars body is made from aluminum...
What im saying is that with CF being lighter, much stronger, not much more expensive and.. paintible, theres no reason for an aluminum hood. Just doesnt make sense.
OEM manufactures do it because aluminum is cheap, and they make so many of them the cost of manufacturing them goes way down because of the volume produced. Aftermarket companies do not have that same luxury.
Aluminum is a pain in the balls to work with.
