Tip. Take your non ABS shaft to a drive shaft place and have them shorten it .80 in (20.3mm) and replace the U Joints. Paint and enjoy your brand new drive shaft for not much money at all.

Because its the only part the really wears out on a driveshaft.

A non-ABS driveshaft is longer than an ABS driveshaft (15mm), so I do not understand how it would help your situation. Either buy a non-ABS m/t driveshaft or shorten the ABS m/t driveshaft as OutToWinPAHC stated.

Well some people have no issues, some people get binding. I would try it and see how it is, if it binds then have it shortened or use the abs type.

sorry about all of the questions but it just doesn't benefit me, it is for everyone that will be searching for this answer.

i have tried the non abs drive shaft and it puts a lots of pressure on the trans and the vlsd but if the s14 trans can be put into the s13 trans (correct me if i am wrong) then why can i not use the s14 abs drive shaft

Just look at the FSM for both the s13 and s14 and you will see the difference between both driveshafts. Here is a link to both FSMs:

s13

s14

At some point you need to read this and see for yourself. Not being a wanker, but this is self explanatory.
