Mine should be done tomorrow. It actually is pretty damn easy. If you don't need your car just take your time. Ive just been working on mine all week between school and work. It's in its final stages. I've been posting up about it but nobody seems to care lol. Good luck!

Why the used clutch? Just seems off and possibly leading to future PITA

Looks like fun... No new front/rear trans. seals or rear main seal planned? Resurface the flywheel. Good luck.

rear main seal, and new clutch kit is a must. i dont know why you are wasting your time with that? im a fan of used parts, but def not a clutch. good luck with your swap i hope the clutch holds up.

yea, the stock ECu will work, i'm not using the 5-speed wiring harness either, im just going to hardwire the reverse lights and i'm not sure about the speed sensor.

yep, and as an added bonus, you won't have a speed limiter anymore with that set up

haha same clutch I used in my 95 swap. Except I bought it new.... Do the rear main for sure. As long as your car is still OBD1, your ECU will work with no issues, just as those guys said. I dont even have a CAS and it worked perfectly.

Here's my pics from my swap zerothread?id=381141

I tried to find ways around buying a speed sensor, but there's no way. I got lucky though because I was about to order one from Nissan for $180, but told them to wait a few days. I went to a friend's place and he started digging through huge containers full of parts and somehow pulled one out and sold it to me for $40, with a trans mount and a 1 Farad Capacitor.

Done...in 11 hours-The transmission came out fine along with the driveshaft and VLSD. the pilot bearing came out after sharpening the pilot bearing puller to get a good grip on the lip of the bearing. My buddy did all the wiring so don't bother asking about it...sorry. It starts wierd sometimes but it runs fine after a few seconds, it just sputters a few times and then comes to a clean idle. Everything worked according to plan. I used an s13 clutch pedal and did not wire the pedal to anything because my cruise control didn't work anyway. We only hooked up the speed sensor and reverse lights from the transmission. Stock ECU also just to clarify

I hope i can answer any questions anyone has.

the weird idle would be due to the auto ecu. you have to step on the gas once when you start the car or it dies out right? mine used to do that, i have manual ecu now and it starts up clean...although i still have a CEL for the crank angle sensor or w/e.
