S14 5-speed swap recommendations.....?

so im slowly peiceing together all the parts i need for the 5-speed swap on my S14.... because the car is no fun to drive automatic. Oh, its a ka24de.... BUTTT my question is.... should i pull the motor completely out before i swap transmission's? or should i just sit under the car and do it all tight and stuffzzz. i've never pulled a motor before but i'm feeling pretty confident... i would just need to get a cherry picker or something... I NEED SOME INSIGHT NICOCLUBBB. ALSO, any tips and stuff before i go ahead and do this would be much appreciated. thanks
