Hi everyone. I did my 5 spd swap today on my 96'. Also swapped a diff in there. It's a welded S14 open diff. I'm using an S14 Trans and S14 MT Driveshaft. Got the trans in and everything fine. However, when I put in my drive shaft, it fits weird. Both sides go into the trans and diff like they're supposed to, but when I try and bolt up the carrier bearing (the middle part), it gets super tight and is really hard to get a bolt up in there. Is it supposed to be taut in there?
Please help!

Is the new diff installed in an S14 ABS pumpkin? That would be the only reason I could see there being any clearance issues.

No, it's not an ABS :P
Some friends told me to either trim or take off the dust cover on the transmission. I'm going to try that!
