I just installed a 5 speed flywheel on my S14 and want to confirm that I got the right bolts. The ones that came with it looked like the automatic hex bolts (see pic) but had MT on the heads. They went in fine and torqued ok but I though they were supposed to be 12 point?

You are torquing them out of order, fyi.

The head spec doesn't matter as long as the rest of the bolt is the same.

The pic isn't me. But anyway I'm sure they'll be fine.

I remember mine being 6-point for what it's worth, that's why I say I'm 99% sure it should matter whether it's 6 or 12-point.

And I'm glad that isn't you. If you don't torque the bolts down right, you could have serious problems. I hope anyone that might stumble to this thread remembers that...

am glad that isn't you, you don't wanna be using a flex plate(automatic) instead of a flywheel for your 5sp.

from what i remember they're both(at,mt) 6 point, and it'll say on the bolt if its mt or at, the mt bolts are longer than the at bolts.

ey guys, just got a quick question. I am doing a auto to s13 swap on my 240sx 1991. I Torqued down the bolts on the flywheel, and just used the AT bolts that were on there before....
