Hey guys, I have an s14 base, and I found a j30 at a local junk yard. I was just wondering what exactly would I need to pull from the car to convert my 4-lug to 5-lug. Reason I ask is because I've heard that s13's need the spindles, and I don't know if the s14 bases need them too. Thanks

Theres tons of info on this if you search. but from wat i read you have to use pretty much all of the fronts suspension parts to get the front to work. never heard of anyone using the backs. you can use those calipers and rotors. but of course you have to do the 5 lug swap first

On the front, as you already have an S14, you only need the 5 lug hubs. Which I would suggest you buy new at about $130 a piece. Expensive? Yes, but you get new bearings and the factory reliability, and fit.As for the rears, also order up the 5 lug hubs or find a Z32. I can safely say I have only heard of 1 case in which the rear bearings went bad, but that particular car had many miles and was victim to flooding. I have no experience with the J30 hubs but have poked my head in there once and noticed it bolted up differently. Could be mistaken though.

So pretty much the fronts are a matter of just take off and install the 5- lug, but for the rears, I should swap with the z32?

Unless you can find a 5lug S14, then yes.Around these parts S14's in general let alone 5 lug models are pretty rare. It is far easier to find the rear 5 lug hubs off a Z.
