S14 240SX auto nearly stalls/erratic idle after hard stops

just got my gfs S14 240SX back from the shop after 3 months (S15 front end ) and we have a problem

engine runs fine, but when you come to a quick stop (braking firmly) the car nearly stalls, the engine bucks and then the car searches for idle 800-1200 rpm 800-1200 rpm.... then returns to normal

if it happened all the time I'd say it was for sure a vacuum leak but it only happens during hard stops

I cleaned the TB tonite, and there was no change anyone have any ideas on what it could be so I can start out early tomorrow?

maybe trans shift related?

get up some speed throw it in nuetral and make a similar hard stop and see if it hunts for an idle then.

it only hunts when the transmission is in gear. in neutral it idles like a champ

its wierd because the transmission started to slip today too doesnt do it all the time just once in awhile its kinda confusing

thing that bothers me is the bodsy shop left the hood of the car off while it was raining a few weeks ago... since then there are electrical gremlins everywhere

this being the most serious issue

check your connectors for the trans on the right fender well. see if they are holding water.

it definitely is a trans shift problem I can feel the trans shift when the car comes to a hard stop its really wierd

any other suggestions? I'll be back up in an hour to read them

need to get this car finished ASAP ehehehe

fixed the problem with adding transmission fluid ad cleaning the harnesses.... probably more with th e transmission fluid I think haha it still read ok on the dipstick but I filled it to the top and the problem went away... so problem solved

yup run it through the gears yup i did that...
