He's clearly not reading the responses to his threads....

Settle down, Sparky.

If you get a chance to roll out to the Westside meet tonight, you'll meet lots of 240 owners.

Let him get it out of his system.

I am starting to get tired of seeing a crazy thread title then looking at who created it and seeing s13inyourface though.

I give him props for his enthusiasm. I think the Search button or FAQ section would be his best friend, he just hasn't discovered them yet.

The kid just likes having info spoon fed to him. It's getting really annoying. In the interiors section he posted a question and his answer was 4 threads below the NEW ONE HE STARTED!! Anyway, I say we give him a chance. I've never known NICO to be one of those 'unforgiving to newbs' sites.

Fred doesnt like thread that are directed to a specific member... im sure this will get locked as soon as he sees this..

BUT.. before he does I must admit his posts are getting annoying and he should read and search before he posts.

He needs to sit back and search and watch the pace of the forum. It usually takes me a few weeks to month before I post anything on a new board.

I dont think he has done anything as of yet to permit him being banned but it's possible to remove his ability to start new threads for awhile may be agood idea.

I think he needs to learn to use the Search Button for his questions. If he can't find it then he should make a post. Some threads to me, haven't made too much sense but I don't think he should be banned.

I agree with the above. Remove his ability to start new threads because thats all he really seems to do. Didnt see to many times he responded in any of his threads. He seems like one of those young F&F kids who wants to be the drift king and pimpin women with 20 in. spinners on his car. I dont think he's done anything to be banned, but boy is he sure annoying and apparently he has been plagued with the infamous searching disability, like so many others.......sad

gogg are you a moderator? do you have any position that allows you to make polls like this? if so, then I suggest you pick better ways of getting opinions, this is very immature and does nothing but put the inyourface kid on the spot and make you look like an instigator. if you aren't, then I suggest you stop acting like one and leave the mods/admin to their jobs.

The kid makes alot of stupid posts, so do about 60% of NICO (and every other forum) members. This is the internet, don't expect otherwise. If the kid didn't break a forum rule then you don't have the right to ban him (which would still go back to the original rule on whether YOU have the right to ban him anyway). He's new to internet forums and doesn't know how to use the search button. You could have used the time you spent making this unneccessary (and certainly uncalled for) post to PM/email/IM him and explain to him that he is getting on peoples nerves. Then he wouldn't grow disdain for NICO (and you personally) for putting him on the spot and making him feel stupid. You clearly have never been in a position of authority (or you're just not using it right now) or you would have known that the first resort is to privately speak with the violator and the last resort is to ban/fire/remove them from their position/membership. There is NO resort that calls on random members (no offense to the people who have already replied, but this is an internet forum, anyone can post, so "the masses are asses") to decide the fate of someone they don't even know, especially when you haven't even placed a qualifier to weed out the useless members (who are possibly no better than him) replying and saying he should/shouldn't be banned.

Like I originally said, if you are a mod then you need to learn how to act like one. If you are not then you need to step back and let the REAL mods do their job.

It was a simple poll (I didn't even vote) and it's fairly obvious that no moderators have had a problem with this topic yet or it would have been locked. I'm with 2BN_S13, it seems like someone has a secondary account and is just effing around.

I've noticed lately that when people have a problem with others they make a thread about them instead of messaging them, e-mailing them. I see it this way, if you have a problem with someone or their threads talk to the mods/admin and let them do their Job. Thats one of many reasons they are here for.

I think its unappropriate for the site to have stuff like this going on. It would be courteous to message the person or admins/mods instead of threads like this.

as simple as you might find it, it doesn't change the fact that you made a post outside of your rights on NICO, one that was entirely inappropriate. There are 2 bad types of members on NICO (and every other internet forum); The trolls that post stupid questions and the wannabes that make fun of them to look cool and in the know. I think we know which one inyourface is part of, we also know which one you are part of. Sorry if that offends you. Use it as a peice of advice next time you want to make a duragatory post about someone you don't know, one that has absolutely nothing to do with you as a member or your very limited powers as one.

I have to disagree with ya there. Gogg just did what half the people on here were wanting to do, he was just the one with the balls to take a chance at getting lynched and posting it.

that's you assuming that he posted it knowing he would get criticism. Don't turn someone trying to look cool into a martyr. There is a clear difference between "having balls" and having blatant disrespect for the moderator's responsibilities. Feel free to contact a moderator and let them know you don't think they're doing their jobs properly.

Okay dude, you're not making any sense.....

1) how do you know he was doing it to look cool?

2) how does it have disrespect for a mods responsibilities? (ben, greg, any of you guys can help me out with this question - if there's somethin i dont know about)

3) I know a few of the mods personally and have major respect for the ones I don't know. So obviously you're the one trying to look cool by posting up for me to tell them i don't think they're doin their jobs(like you're tryin to get me in trouble with them or something) - when I am constantly giving these guys props - so they know better!

so ^^ 1 + 2 + 3 = chill newb!

WOW, I leave for a couple of days and I miss all the excitement...I think S13InYourFace just needs to get the initial excitement of owning a new car out of his system.I mean, come one, let's be honest. The first time you all had a car(especially at that age) you were so eager to learn anything that you could about it that you could hardly contain yourself. I know I was. Of course at that time I was only 12, but I remember clearly I got pretty annoying with the questions to my uncle....And in regard with the start of the thread, I think that the issue should have initially been addressed with a PM or an IM. After the initial criticism from older members in the threads he started the kid seemed to have calmed down a bit. Just give him a chance. There was no need to start something like this in my opinion. Now you can call me a noob or whatever you want on this forum, but I was lucky enough to be exposed to cars for the past 7 years. Many of my friends weren't so lucky and I know that sometimes they become like S13, and get a little too eager to learn. Just my $.02

agreed, and common` do we actually believe that newbies are the only ones that ask noob questions? AND that the regulars are the only ones that come up with original, never been asked before, mind boggling, breath taking questions and/or answers?

whatever!

PS, I do believe he needs to at least repond to his own posts... if he is still a member.

Trolls die, ignore his threads if he annoys you, that's about the best you can do (whoever "you" is) on the Internet. I just checked out his "wheel thread" nothing wrong with it, but a lil waste of bandwidth - which can be used by mods to market the site if anything (we process XXX,XXX threads a day @ XXX Gigs - "no mention of actual content") - then we get more sponsors and better deals.

Everything has a purpose

Two words: post whoring

Also, I think a lot more people are just meaner on the internet than in real life... unless you are part of a mob of people, then it's crazy mob mentality.

If you guys really wanna see an internet in your face meanie forum ppl, check out other forums *ahem* zilvia (not really that bad but relatively) *ahem* honda-tech (omg some of these guys are over zealous anti ricers - not all, but enough for me to go, geez louise) *ahem

How do you know a bully beats up on the new kid to look cool? Because he instigated unneccessarily and without being provoked. If you see warrant in this post because a new kid wants to ask stupid questions then that just proves why you aren't a moderator. Whether you or anyone else would like to admit it or not, the likely possiblity that a member would make a post like this to show off is obvious. I don't need to clarify anything farther for you, if you didn't see it yourself then you won't see it when its explained to you.
sileighty_stev0n wrote:2) how does it have disrespect for a mods responsibilities? (ben, greg, any of you guys can help me out with this question - if there's somethin i dont know about)
mods are around to make sure people following the rules. If someone doesn't they are either warned or banned, that's the way it goes. Would it not be disrespectful to law enforcement to take the law into your own hands? To move in on moderator territory and ask what should happen to a member is assuming/announcing that you don't believe the moderators are doing their job(s), which is disrespectful.
sileighty_stev0n wrote:3) I know a few of the mods personally
Wow, I sure am proud of you.

So sucking up to the moderators and giving them props makes you respectful? A good judge of character can attest that an *** kisser is not to be trusted. So are you to be trusted Mr. prop man?
sileighty_stev0n wrote:so ^^ 1 + 2 + 3 = chill newb!
wow, I thought it equalled 6, but oh well. As far as the newb comment, whatever gives you kicks I guess. Sorry I don't spend more time on forums giving props and sucking up to the mods while trying to take their job(s). The 2 reasons you (or whoever) made this post is to bring up the issue of a member being banned, or picking on the member to look/feel cool/strong. Feel free to pick which one is the right excuse for you, if it wasn't one of the above then feel free to rebuttle with another excuse, they will allow ultimately fall back into the following 2 categories.
