Hey everybody,
its your good pal Uncle S133P3R... you know, youre "special" friend :naughty: . Ive come here to tell you all a little story about buying a car for more than its worth then investing even more time and money just to keep it running day in and day out.... and let me tell you now, this story sucks.

Circa 2005 So after seeing a few cars do this....

I decide, that i must sell my reasonable mazda sedan and invest in a RWD car, specifically a Nissan 240sx.

it wouldve helped if i had known more about the cars before buying because, frankly - i was ripped off. hell, i didnt even know the difference between a S13 and S14 and I ended up buying a car with more problems than i could even bare to hear about from my mechanic, but deep in my heart - I knew this 240sx was not going to leave my life for a long time.

YOU'VE ACQUIRED A NEW CAR!
Model - S13 240sx
Body style -Zenki Hatch Back
Motor - KA24E
Transmission - 5 speed manual
UPGRADES - None
PROBLEMS - No drivers lap belt, became apparent when driving home.

The money I had remaining from selling the mazda and buying the 240 was used on repairs to fix an oil leak, timing, tires, and tension rods. I bought Megan tension rods and have had them for 5 years with no complaints.
-this concludes chapter 1.

I'm posting from my iPod and all the pictures for the story are on my computer so I guess I can keep editing the 1st post a bit and add everything, I think it locks after a few days and is uneditable. thanks for stopping by! :bigthumb:

-Chapter 2-
sometimes with cars, i find that the best deals on parts are available when you have the least need and/or money for them. well, this was no exception. i knew my car needed tie-rod boots and that my inner tie rods were bent to say the least.

low and behold on craigslist someone in LA is selling a rebuilt power steering rack with "Tein outer and inner tie rods." I decide it would be worth the $150 to buy this and be done with all my steering rack problems at once. I even wrote a write up for my beloved Nico in the process. you can see it all here: s13-power-steering-rack-replacement-t38 ... eplacement
heres a shot of the new rack pre-install and one of it installed with new energy bushings.

at this point, I had enough getting hit in the head by my seatbelt every other time i opened the door so i disconnected the motor and i bought a generic seatbelt from vatoZone to replace my missing lap restraint. no images for this, sorry.

Progress -
ch1 - sold mazda >> bought 240sx, repairs, replaced tension rods with Megan, new tires
ch2 - replaced steeering rack: inner & outter tie rods (tein), rebuilt steering rack, energy suspension steering rack bushings
