s13 wont cut out at 120

i was just wondering why my car doesnt top out at 120 instead it goes higher. i got a 97 ka into a 90 240sx with the sohc ka24e transmission. im thinking maybe the speed sensor isnt working properly since the transmission is over 220k miles. let me know thanks

well it's not the speed sensor otherwise your speedo wouldn't work.

do you have wheels? I don't know if that would make your speedo read faster than when you agtually are...and if it would it would probaly cut you at a lower speed...nevermind...

yes i got a 90 ka24e transmission on a 97 ka24de motor... i got on stock rims and tires

i meant aftermarket wheels...but from your post I am gonna assume that you do not...

I have a 93 with stock wheels, only bolt-ons. I kept up with my buddies car on the highway, we wet up to 136 and I stayed with him, heh.
