s13 won't stay on

Hey Everyone I'm a NEW GUY!!! well i just bought an 89' hatch that was sitting for a year and a half i got it started and all of a sudden it won't stay on?? The battery is good the alternator is good and fuse isn't burned out. I get it started and it'll turn off on its own or ill pull the positive off the battery and sometimes it stays on, but then i try it agian and it turns off??? Anyone have some advice??

Check out your spark plugs, if its not that then most likely its going to be the fuel pump.

did it just shut off or did it bogg then die ?

well when i do get it to stay on it does bogg then turn off,but when i pull the positive off and it doesn't stay on,it just cuts out but the alternator is good so i don't know..

check the mass air sensor its it unpluged if its not you might need a new one

well i know its plugged in,its a ka24e will the ke24de msf work?

No it won't work. They aren't interchangeable.

well I still couldn't figure out the problem so me and my uncle ended up following the red/white wire that was coming out of the alternator plug and found that it was CUT don't know how the damn wire was cut I just bought the car.

So we soddered the two ends and taped it up and stuff. And now the car stays on and the battery is keeping its charge.
