s13 wiring harness help/idea

Ok, so i have an 89 hatch that was an automatic. Anyway, i was wondering if there were anyway, i could use the lower harness (alternator, transmission, etc) from the front clip to replace my auto ka lower harness....has anyone done this...thanks

You can, you may just need to rewire a pin or two by the battery tray wiring.

I used the wiring harness from my clip, turned out just fine. but some of the plugs might have to be changed, i think one of them by the fusebox had to be changed and my transmission sensor wires were already molested to work with the automatic plug.

just a plug change will work and you need a 5psd speed sensor for your american tach to work. also you need to connect and jumper the 2 wire plug. (3rd one down on fenderwell side) wire it together.

would it matter at all that the front clip harness is from a redtop....and the motor in my car is a s13 blacktop?

hmmmm......... my coupe was an auto before i put the SR in it and i used the auto lower harness with out a problem. The only difference is, is that there's a serperate extra harness for are the auto crap. get rid of that, get a usdm speed sensor and plug everything in. and wire up your reverse lights
