well, everytime i hit a ditch, even a small regular one on the road, it makes that chirping sound. I think the sound is coming from the back. At first, I thought it was my jack or some tools rubbing against something, but i took it out and it still makes that sound (chirping kinda sound)1wayIsSideways wrote:maybe a more clear explanation of this "chirping sound"
where is the sound coming from??
boerne_ka-t wrote:all of your suspension peices going to the rear hub have bushings.. look for torn/leaky bushings.. a simple grease job may do the trick unless they are ruptured too badly.. Also check the shock itself, make sure it's centered in its seat.. My front shock got fubar'd and was rubbing along the side of it's bottom seat making a horrible sound all throughout the car.. the easiest way is to crawl underneath and have a buddy push down on the decklid to make the noise untill you locate it..
I will not be held reliable for my input.. I once told a kid it was a cake walk installing a cold air intake. He ended up frying his ecugiodachamp wrote:haha, thanks guys for all the input and i might try to buy the bushings. But you guys said it's not that hard so i'm keeping you word on it

a old lady pulled up to the shop and said
"can you young men please change the air out in my tires? its been so long since i had it done its a wonder i havent had a flat"
after examining her tires which still looked new haha i did exactly what she asked and she was on her way.
i know this has nothing to do with the thread but whatever
Yeah I ended up not buying the bushing kit. The sound went away then it came back once again. Found out that it was those pesky plastic covers on my trunk. The plastic covering the whole side of the speakers. I have a hatch btw. It turned out that you just need to secure it or just take them off.kasey24e wrote:Yes I read it, he bought them but never followed up on whether it fixed the issue at hand or not. I searched. This could answer my problem.
