I just bought my S13 a week ago, it has a fresh kade in it, whoever did the swap right before i bought it fubared the wiring for my stock temp gauge, i went to my local auto parts store, bought an autometer ultralite temp gauge, but it does not come with any wiring, or instruction on how/where too install it on my KA, i search water, coolant, temp, gauge for s13 and came up with nothing, however i dont think that nobody here hasnt done this before, so i could really use your guys help on how/where to install it, thanks

If it is an electric gauge, I can not help you.

However if you purchased the mechanical gauge with the probe built in, this will help you. If you look at the lower radiator hose you will notice a metal insert with a sensor threaded into it. Go to a junkyard or a part-out and get one of these. Next cut out about an inch or so from the upper radiator hose somewhere near the middle. Insert your spiffy new (to you) pipe and clamp her down. You can now thread the temperature probe from your new gauge into this insert with the supplied adapters.

I used the gauge with the 6' long probe (Autometer Sport-Comp) and ran the probe through the firewall via the drainplug for the heater core. The length of the probe was perfect as I have my gauges where my radio no longer exists.

I drilled and tapped the coolant bleeder hole on the manifold for the autometer sensor. I believe there is a thread on here with a writeup.

Edit: found it - zerothread/251877
