I spent the better part of last year doing an SR20 swap right, but I'm a little disappointed in the power that this thing makes (I'm more of a torque-junky).

If I wanted to swap an RB25 into my S13, how hard would that be? Does anybody have a good pinout? I've sold or thrown out all of my KA stuff, and the articles I'm looking at are telling me to use the KA harness and plug for this or that...I realize the SR harness/plug would substitute but I'd like to keep the SR harness intact if I were to sell it...

you do know that the SR and the RB are pretty equal when it comes to HP and Torque outputs right?

How much have you invested in your SR swap. I would suggest you think of it like this...

You have already dumped a substantial amount of money into your coupe for the SR, and you are ready to dump another substantial amount into it for an RB swap. Take what money you were planning on using for the RB swap and put it into the SR.

People think that these engines are some fantastic power monsters and are dissapointed at what it ends up as, even though it only has a few mods to it.

What have you done with the SR?

Thanks for the input!

I probably will end up keeping what I have, after all the money I put into the swap. It's not what I put into the motor, it's mostly what I put into brand new parts, like tearing down the steering rack and rebuilding that, MT conversion, brand new bushings everywhere, etc etc...you know, the details

I've never been in an RB-powered car but the I6 configuration is what attracted me as far as torque goes (before boost, anyway).

I'll stick with the SR and keep modding it. My Z has plenty of torque anyway

while the NUMBERS are the same the DELIVERY is totally different. you have way more low end and midrange on a RB25 over a SR20. there is no question.

Yeah well I just like those guys in the VH/VK forums. Pop in there every once in a while and someone's always got something crazy going on.!!

LS1 is a good motor, but I'm just anti-domestic. It'll make more power cheaper though.
