Just curious to see what people would pick. Id think in general application people would pick S14 Sr b/c it's a little more advanced then its earlier model.

That and I thought it would be a chance to see which Sr people have currently to see who has what kinda. Get a feel for which model people have decide to get cha' know?

I was wondering in a drifting pov with the initial cost, availability and track testing which model people prefer?...........(id be seeing this in a drift aspect)

I don't think that black or red top is really all to different but I've hear some people SWEAR a world of difference of the two that and other people saying that the S15 6speed is kinda week and convert to the 5speed or a 350z 6speed. So i threw in a couple different option.

PLZZZZ dont make this in to a " your dumb, im right, im guna kill you if you reply" thread. SORRY if I've all ready failed. Thought it would be different Im just throwing this out there..........

i don't drift but I've been much more pleased with the mid range response of my s14 over the s13. But it depends on how much power you are going for. If you are building for more power the s13 head is ported a little nicer, but its all in preference.

S14HUMPBACK allday i wanted a good base with hopefully low miles ...due to me not having $$$$ for a rebuild the V T C was also a good selling point, and it does'nt disapoint! iv heard from several kids that im running the hardest pulling STOCK sr they ve ever been in iv never drifted in any cars but my own but theres really good mid-range torq and i dont really ever turn the boost up past 10lbs to drift ! u know what to do

I have both and they both work very well but for some reason I can't stand an s13 sr in a s14

I hear that, put the motor that was designed to be in the car in the first place in there. Fork over the extra cash to do it. Do it once and do it right... If you are building an all out HP motor, fine go with the S13, but more than half the people on this website can't afford huge power... You'll get more power with BPU's and a tune from the S14 than you would the S13....

I totally agree. Although I own an s13sr If I had the money at that time I would have went with a s14 or even a s15 due to the mileage. I think if you are looking for a reliable drift engine that would require minimal mods a s14 is your best choice.

I don't feel the same! I love the S13 SR in the S14! No ugly vtc bulge, the injectors are easy to get to and it's a known fact that the high port head has straight shot into the combustion chamber! The S13 sr20det is the OG SR of all SR's! Now tell me that a S13 SR don't look good in a S14!

Nice show car if you like it then is all good ....but with enough money I could make a Yugo engine look good in a s14 too and gas mileage probably be better too ...but the bottom line..is a personal preference, still an SR20det s13 or s14 in whatever s-chassis I love them all
