S13 vs S14 rust?

I've noticed that a lot of S13s are starting to get some rust issues. Is this just a factor of age? Did Nissan do anything to help "rust-proof" the S14s?

Build quality got worse as they approached the early 2000s.

All I know is if you have a S14 with a sunroof, check near the sunroof drainages at the front fender and rocker panels.

You should check every where for rust especially if you don't know where the car lived before.
