I'm looking to build a either a s13 or s14 with a 2jz swap. I'm NOT looking to build a drift car, im assuming i would be better off with an s14 due to the stiffer chassis. the lightweight of the s13 body will probably cause traction issues. what good is 600-700 whp when you cant hook. but i wanted some input what do you guys think?

All of your weight is going to be up front with an iron block, so it's not going to matter for traction either way.

If this is a time-attack car or something, just ditch the inline-6 turbo dreams and go for a ground-pounding v8.

with that much power it isn't going to matter. Just go with the one you like the looks of better. S13 are definitly cheaper and easier to find stuff for. But I personally only like the s13 coupe/vert and the s14 Kouki.

They're pretty much the same, suspension wise.
Only thing is that the S13 has much more anti-squat in the rear, so the S14 will have more traction.
Not an issue though, you can swap subframes with conversion bushings.

Razi makes a good Anti-squat argument.

I believe the engine bay is a little larger on the S14's as it seems JZ's fit better in the 14's then they do in a 13.
Other than that, it's your preference. Get a sticky tire and you should be fine no matter the chassis.

1 hint at doing a JZ swap overbuild your cooling system.

Speaking as one of the surprisingly few people on here that have driven both an S13 and an S14 hard (both in 95% stock form) I can tell you the S14 is worlds better in terms of handling. It rotates much better when braking into corners, and also when getting on the power. Overall its just a much more neutral handling car. S13's by comparison tend to understeer much more. Anyone that tells you that they handle the same because the suspensions design "looks" more or less the same is dead wrong.
