S13 vLSD & R390 Sports

I'm looking to get a 3.90 vLSD to go into the rear end of my S13 coupe. There is a local spot here called R390 Sports that sells them for $295. The price seems mostly reasonable. Does anyone have an prior experience with them, good or bad?

Secondly, how many miles are used Nissan vLSD usually good for? I've heard that they're not rebuildable and when they go, you just throw them away. Is that true?

I dont think the final drive ratio is that low. the open diff is a 4.083. and i think you can get parts to rebuild them, so they arent totally throw away. R390 seemed like a good place, but they are a little pricey. you can get a LSD from one of the guys for $250 or so or less.
