I have a 1993 nissan 240sx LE/SE Converitableand it stays at 400 RPM ( no not 4000 RPM) and when i try to reg it up it dies and i also have an eninge light on when the engine is off but the key is still on and when i have this sencor pluged in the car will run for 5 secs then it will die and the car will shake hard core......plz help me see ya

so? do dont have that sensor pluged in.. look at the plug and see where it goes.. if its not connected to the throttle body. it is the plug for your IACV (which controls your idle). that might be bad.. also check for vaccum leaks.

i dunno what it could be, but the shaking of the car sounds like my most recent disaster. i drove my car fine all day, and went inside to grab something, start her up and my engine was shaking hardcore, shook the whole car at an idle. it was drivable but i didn't wanna risk breaking something else while it was shaking. i thought maybe it was an engine mount. or i knocked something loose like a vacuum hose. turned out to be the fuel injector closest to the firewall had died and and i was running 3 pistons. it was unbalanced. so i replaced that and 4 new spark plugs and she runs perfect again. i hope you solve ur problem with a quick and low cost.
