I wanted one, so i had one engineered on a CNC machine, i know there are some on ebay that are just flat waterjet cut pieces, but i wanted something i could snap in and not glue/tape it in to hold it

I had it made to fit the angle pieces to point the gauges towards you but dont have a final pic of that...

Make out of plastic or billet (6061 al)

What do you guys think? What would you pay for a billet one or plastic one (that you can paint)?

I like them, especially the aluminum. What kind of price are we looking at?

Well i got to figure out the price of the alunimum, and see how much the guy that makes it wants per piece. He was telling me all kinds of costs at work (co-worker) but i never found out, i was hopeing people would go crazy so i could go into work and tell him an estimate price... haha

It takes about an hour to make on the milling machine, then cost of 6061..

+1. I already have one of these with just 2 gauges + center slits and I hate that my gauges aren't angled towards me.

If it would fit 60mm (Defi) I would consider it...

^Whats so different about Defi? are they +/- 60mm? or just a 60mm gauge?

I would be super interested in the panel as long as it will fit my 60mm Defi's and angle them towards me. I have an ebay triple panel now and I hate that the gauges are not angled towards me. I would be willing to pay $65-75 shipped for one.

I believe they are 60mm, but I will verify for you.

Depending on how you want them to look, you could pick up a set of Autometer "half-moon's" that angle the gauges - Summit has them $10 for a 3-pack.

Given I'm at work, I can't load the pics... But if this is better than the ebay ones, you can count me in.

That is exactly the idea that is used for this, you have to have something to angle them, autometer sells a 52mm and 60mm angle cups

I dont have a full picture yet... here is a picture but it really doesnt show the angle it points towards you, i will get some pics taken

I could deal with that, since the panel is going to be sprayed or powder-coated anyways

Actually angling the holes would be cost prohibitive. Not to mention a _real_ PITA to machine.

haha yeah but there is a easy way to angle the hole, you just cannot overthink it

It depends on what type of plastic, but in general I would prefer aluminum.

I have no clue what to pay for one - depends on what your buddy wants for the metal stock & time.

If you get an idea here, you could possibly sell them pretty well in the S-13/ 14 / Silvia forum, but you may have to become a sponsor / fabricator. (make a sticky in the S-chassis forum, and link back to Fabricators Marketplace.. this is all hypothetical. Greg (AZHitman) would have to approve it (obviously).)

It could be a good business ploy!

^a plastic one painted would do the trick, little texture added or maybe use rhino line/herculiner of sorts
