has anyone tried removing the tweed fabric off of the door pannels and just leaving them like they are whithout the tweed?

I haven't personally but I know people do. Think you just need some goo-gone or similar to remove the sticky crap under it. Same with the glove compartment, but I'm pretty sure it has foam under the fabric.

why are you removing it? I was going to remove it to recover it, but just ended up dying it black. Looks pretty good in my opinion.

i already removed it... it matches the vinyl look on the door pannel... just rip the tweed off and use some goo gone to clean it up and it looks great!

Yeah, I already have one door skin that way, need to replace the other. The dude I bought the car off was drunk and punched a hole in it.
