I don't know if buying off ebay is a good idea but if it's from a reputable seller and a name brand.. why not save money? Look into it first..

And as someone else said before, and I loosely quote "You know yourself if you're capable of doing it yourself. If not have it done professionally."

I wouldnt get a T25, they are way too small. The general conscensus around here is that Ebay kits are not very good, there have been many horror stories from them, but also a few good stories too, so its a gamble.take a look at this thread too:zerothread/213918it discusses pros/cons of a T2 turbo vs a T3.

I want my 240sx to be strickly street car, not racing or anything like that, just fun and fast, would u still recommend it just for driving late nights for fun? i dont need any expensive or high hp turbo... Small seems like a great idea for me. keep it simple but Not stock Good idea or still bad lol?

still pretty bad, youll get bit by the boost bug and want more, and it will be much more expensive in the end. Also, larger turbos are more efficient, smaller ones run out of breath at low RPMs.

If you mean late night fun as in late night racing or being stupid and going fast, which it seems you mean.. No one here condones that, and some probably wont even tolerate you talking about it.ebay is always a gamble. I wouldn't use it when buying a something that costs that much, just get a real one and you know it's good. It'll come warrentied too.

good thing about a small turbo is quick spool. and if the idiot plans to street race that's a good thing, maybe once it hits full boost his rears will break loose and he'll spin into a wall.

I know this isn't a KA but it just goes to show that a T28 can produce serious power.

Take it easy grandpa it's his life his car, he probably dont even care what you tell him so might as well save your self some energy and not type that. People telling other people that street racing is not cool and they shouldnt do it especialy on a forum, well they get ignored. No one really gives two ****s. I mean I love having fun on an open highway or a road, but when there is a lot of cars invloved I don't even bother. Especialy if the other driver is acting like a moron.

Now back to the topic, if you get a good T25 not some knock off crap then you will be ok. But PapaSmurf is correct you will get bit by the boost bug. So I would recommend getting at least a T28, same flange style and won't run out of breath as fast.

Thanks, very good help, and i know my limits with a turbo and speed thats why im going with a small turno becuase i dont want to much. I dont approve of street racing so no worrys there, but me and my gf are getting 240sx and doing putting in turbos, just for our enjoyment, nothing serious, no racing, just acceding speed limit at a faster rate then other cars, lol thats all, maybe max going 20k faster then speed limit on a highway. And ya, if i was going to street race i wouldnt lisen to u guys tellin me not to, but im not disrespectful like that. I use these forums cuz u guys know a lot more then i do evan tho i probly will go with this turbo cuz its nice and simple. and evan if it runs out of breath, its still better then stock by a long run. Anouther question. ive seen turbos with air filter coming right off them? do all turbos need that?

yeah all turbos have a filter, unless your ballsy and reaally trying to get those extra ponies out, but you can suck up 1 little rock and end it all heh, thats what the hennesy viper did when running the standing mile, he wanted to hit 200 in a mile or something so he took the filters off the turbos, picked up a small rock on a run and ruined the turbo.... he hit 200 tho. it was in Motor Trend, dont remember when.
