s13 transmission in s14 HELP!!

So last night i finished up my transmission swap for my s14 with a s13 blacktop sr20. I used a s13 tailshaft to mate to my sr20 bell housing. When i was bolting up the driveshaft it was very tight against the metal dust cover on butt end of the s13 transmission. I managed to get it all bolted up, but upon inspection the s14 driveshaft was way to tight against the s13 metal dust cover, producing some noise and smoke upon startup.

I searched up info on the transmission swaps and could find alot of info about s14 transmisssions into s13's but not the other way around.

MY QUESTION!!- Can i use the old black rubbery dust cover from my s14 transmission on the s13 transmisson or should i run without it? (will the s14 dust cover fit on s13?)

This is a S14 DS correct?

But you can just pull the metal dust shield.

yes s14 ds, and yes i should just be able to pull the metal dust shield, but im at school right now and my car is at my friends shop

fixed it, s14 dust cover goes on perfect
