S13 transmission ISSUE!

ok I own a 93 240sx 5 speed. Just yesterday I was driving home heard a lite rattle slash clunking noise. Kinda ignored it cuz my exhaust hangers suck... well anyway the noise came apparent a 2500 rpm and then half way through a turn the car just dies so i start it back up keep driving then it locks the tire for a second then lets go and acts normal, so limped it home now will only start when feathering the gas and keeping it above ideal and when i rev to keep it running the shifter shakes heavily back and forth hence why i believe its a transmission issue.... help please!!
