I started the tear down to do the brake swap today on my S13. I found some worn out front end parts and ordered replacement. So once they are all in I'll have the Z33 track with Z32 calipers on the front. I am also doing the rear brake swap.

I am curious about the master cylinder though. I have a Z32 Master from a Turbo model. I know the master bolts up and the lines on the S13 are in the right area. I am curious to know about the needed flair fitting.

Can they be purchased or do I have to cut it out of the 240 MC? My plan is to hack it up, but it would be nice if they sold them.

Some of them have fitting already installed and blocked with a hex allen plug. Mine is that way. If yours looks like this, you should check. You might be lucky. If not, I'd say just hack 240 bmc. You can take out three, use one and sell other two.

How about the easiest 6 bucks you'll make?

I had read a posting (somewhere online) about drilling the m/c from the opposite side of the flair fitting, then using a punch to drive the flair out. I tried it on an old m/c I had laying around, and it took all of 15 minutes to knock out the flairs. Credit to whoever first posted up about it.To the OP, what size m/c are you going to be running and which booster? I have used both the 1" (BM-50) and currently the 1 1/16" (BM-57) on a reman'd stock booster. I have since found that the 1" m/c offered better pedal modulation. The larger m/c, while giving a firmer pedal, is not any easier to work, but the lock-up point for the brakes eludes me when I switch over tires on occasion and more noticeably when driving in the rain. I have had a couple of cheek clenching moments since the change over. Not really relevant to anything, just sharing my experience.

Sorry I do have it, I didn't pull it out yet though. I could cut it out this weekend maybe, I am out of town right now though.

I have a Z32 BMC on my car already preinstalled and that worked great.

But another just as effective method is to just use a T fitting to split the front then block off the middle one. We have done this with a Skyline BMC and it works great. Stopped our race car from 130MPH pretty easily.

So I bought this fitting adaptor from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW and it threads into the BMC, but will not thread into the actual line! I'll see if I can get it rethreaded or something.....

I got the same adaptor and had the same problem!!! The brake line would not tighten up and it leaks!!! I'm calling them today to see if they had a bad batch or something and can send another one. I don't want to have to cut the fitting out of the old one since that destroys it and seems like more than should be necessary to make this work. Let me know what you end up doing if you don't mind!

I've called the guy and he says that some work and some don't, so he knows about the problem. He will tell you to rethread it or something. I returned the first one and he sent me another one that still didn't work. I think I will go with the T fitting idea.

Well i finally remembered to rent the retreading set from Autozone when I was there today. (btw it's $80)

Retreading the inside threads (M10 x 1.25) Kinda hard to turn!

Outside threads, same size. Not so hard

All done. Not as prety as it was, but hoping it will go in and not leak!

Man, these threads were all jacked up. Before I retreaded them, they wouldn't even fit on that size fitting chart that Autozone has, or they would only go in a couple of turns. Now they go in all the way. Horray for me
