Backstory:
I have a '92 240SX Convertible with SR20DET Red Top and a LOT of BRAND NEW parts. I hit some guy who wasn't paying attention and pulled out in front of me and totaled out the front passenger corner of the car. The rest of the car is still mint condition and the engine and most of the supporting components are all still perfect. I found a fastback at a local junk yard and convinced them not to crush it when they are done selling off the parts.
Question:
I am by no means a "mechanic"... I specialize in computer programming... But I DID swap out the SR20DET on my car by myself and am perfectly capable following a guide. How difficult would it be to "swap" the front clip from the junk yard car onto my car so I can keep my baby alive? Is there a guide somewhere I can follow or at least an outline of how to swap clips? (Yes, I understand it's not as simple as unbolting a wheel and slapping on a new one.. I WILL have help from my dad and brothers and we do have a sawzall and welder).
ANY sort of guidance would be GREAT!!
