transmission, driveshaft and transmission crossmember needed. plus rear diff if you want a speed sensor.

May I ask why? You won't use it for drift or grip. You won't use it for drag racing (unless you are trapping at over 150MPH, which you'd have a better transmission for), you won't use it for freeway driving, unless you are consistently over 150MPH.

I'm looking forward to the day someone makes a 7 speed transmission, then it's going to be a war between the companies over who can make a car with the most gears.

:rolleyes

never thought of that before. you never need 6 gears when drifting.

I read an article on SCC or Super Street(I can't remember right now) they said that nissan had designed an 8 speed transmission for the R35 concept car. When taken to the track to be tested, the test pilot said that he rarely reached 6th gear, much less 7th or 8th. I believe it was dismissed as being unpractical.

opel makes/made a seven speed transmission for one of their cars. a guy at school had a military buddy in germany ship him one to put in his vette, don't know why but he did put it in the vette.

Opel is owned by GM. I'm guessing the perts are interchangeable.

The S15 transmission is weak and expensive. It breaks very easily.

What facts do you have to back that up? Instead of just "hearing from a friend of a friends friend friend"

OK, now that we know there is a 7 speed available in the higher end cars. I meant a company for the middle class people. IE: Honda, Nissan, Toyota, etc.

And an 8 speed in the R35? Yuck.
