s13 tach not accurate>

My brother just bought a 93 s13 coupe with an rb20 swap he has a rediculisly big tach on his dash and wants rid of it but the stock one reads like 4k when the big one reads like 2 any ideas?

The RB won't work on the KA tach. You could swap it out for something but idk what. I don't know much about RBs. Check this out. Looks like they readjust it or something and you could keep the stock cluster and gauge.

Im pretty sure a J30 tach will work. I think thats what guys use with RB swaps. It fits in the gauge cluster where the stock tach goes. Someone confirm this?

J30 works also r32 tach will work as well. I believe there is a company out there that calibrates the s13 tach to work with rb swaps. LSautomotive possibly?
