Ok well im suppost to be buying a guys s13 5spd transmission and his engine its from a 91 240sx. And im swapping his transmission into my car and my car is a 95 240sx automatic. Now i will have all the manuel parts i need to the transmission swap. But i heard that the s13 motor wont just slip right in i mean they are the same motor right, also ill have the s13 ecu and harness too. I dont possibly see what problems i will run into with swapping the s13 engine into my s14.

So if you guys know anything or possible things ill run into please let me know because im going to pick up the guys motor tommorow evening. so if any of you can respond by tonite id really appreciate it. Or IM me at eckoman2k or Rcr2k2 if you have anything to tell me.

Also the guy has a 96 or 97 240sx transmission and engine for sale with 5spd i could get so let me know about that too.

i would definietely look into the 96/97 transmission + engine for a little extra $$ At least we know FOR A FACT that they will fit in without any problems. Plus, why would you want someone's old S13 crap anyways? no offense to the S13 folk, but its older which could be more problems.

Because my s14 engine has a bad timing chain and im lookign at ****load of money to get timing chain kit from nissan courtesy plus more to get it put in. Plus my engine has 125K while the 91 has 104K and has never been modified and comes with better cams.

dude, i seriously would not pass up the transmission which SHOULD be in your car. Im not even 100% the S13 will fit and nobody is responding to dispute my claim. The KA24 (since you have high miles anyways --kind of) will be very cheap i guarantee you. It will be better for the long run. Hell if you dont want it sell it to me.

They are the same engine. You could simply use your wiring harness and everthing, or swap out with the manual harness.
