Im thinking about getting an s13 hatch, and ive heard from quite afew people that this car (and all the s13s) have some issues with understeer. I was wondering what suspension kits are availible that fix this.

theres not really "kits" so to say really. theres so many suspension possibilities on a s13. just get some nice coilovers and some beefy swaybars (tein, cusco) to start with. or just get an s14 lol, they are more neutral balanced than the s13s

Zerogt86, i think you may be mistaken: Understeer is when the vehicle refuses to make the turn and has the tendency to "push" towards the curb straight on. Oversteer however is a good thing, (or fun at least) that is where the tail of the car swings out wide and the car turns "too much". The 240sx is used by drifters and sports car fans alike (like myself) for it's OVERSTEER.

The stock setup of the S13 is actually biased towards understeer, Jarret. It's mainly in the size of the sway bars. 20mm front, and 17 rear paired up with neutraly balanced springs and dampers.

It's easy to make a car swing its tail out, even one that tends to go under. When my suspension was still stock, I could get the tail to rotate around, but when I was at an autocross, it would push through the turn instead of rotating neutrally through it.

Since the S chassis has so many suspension possibilities, it's easy to tune the chassis to respond to the likes of the driver.
