alright. i've been on 4 different forums trying to find out the truth to this. i'm starting to think i should call the mythbusters cause NOBODY knows this. why is it that there is a debate over the idea that kyb agx and/or gr2 shocks don't fit on 240s with hicas?? i know the stock shocks rotate on bearings when hicas is engaged.. i also know that the kyb shocks don't rotate. i saw this one guy say that they work cause he's got them on his 240 and he has hicas... what the hell is going on there??

Call KYB and ask. Easy.

already did and they said it doesn't fit. but another guy says they're on his s13 with functioning hicas.. this probably voids the warrantee and might not be good for the hicas or suspension..

I know the answer, because I have them on my car, which also has HICAS.

AGX and all other shocks fit fine on a HICAS 240. There is no debate. There is no myth. They work, period, full stop.

HICAS doesn't rotate the shocks, it only adjusts the toe angle of the rear wheels by +/-1 degree in mid-to-high speed cornering.

EDIT: whoever at KYB told you that is a moron, and is regurgitating that outdated disclaimer that says "Excluding HICAS models with active suspension". That warning was intended for the Q45 with HICAS - NOT THE S13. The S13 does not have an active suspension. For reasons that defy logic, KYB keeps that disclaimer for their shocks.
