S13 Suspension problem

A couple of days ago, my driver side front has started making a clanking noise, when i go over a bump or just some ruff pavement. Doesnt handle any different, doesnt seem like anything is loose. no noise when i turn only when going over semi rough pavement, It sounds like the spring is loose but i checked it, and it is tight, even when i jack it up it is tight so i cant imagine it being the spring. i have stock se wheels, the car is lowered 2 in in front and 1.75 in in rear, this suspension has been on the car for about a month now and this just started about 3-4 days ago, any ideas so i know what to replace?
