s13 Sunroof permant removal, Help ?

I want a 240sx with out a sun roof I hate them. All 240sx I can find have sun roofs. I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone or has done it them selves and actually removed the Sunroof and welded a sheet metal plate in its place? I just want to get rid of it and make it a hard top. I don't mind doing the body work I just want to know if anyone has done this before...

There have been quite a few people who have done this. Not very hard, you just sorta pop out the old one, lay on some sheet metal & weld it.

Of course, it's probably better just to wait for a base model, since you wouldn't have to waste all that time & money in welding in & painting a sunroof.

yea...try to snag a base model..not only that, they also th elightest from the factory anyways

some people have been talking about a CF plug..but that to me seems a little tacky..

Three is one guy who did a carbon fibre roof... it looks totally sick...

I wish it was mass produced seriously... I'd buy it.

I hate that heavy pos sunroof that i have, plus i get headache from the sun (i removed the covers and threw them away lol).
