I have a 92 S13/KA24DE. Was over heating and found a small crack on top of the radiator. I replaced the radiator and filled everything back up. Run great at highway speed but when you get into traffic it starts to heat up. I thought there might be some air pockets so I placed the car on an incline, took the radiator cap off and ran it for thirty minutes. I pushed on the upper radiator hose several times and bubbles along with coolant came out. During this time the car never went over operating temperature. Took the car out and made it 2 miles and the temp started rising again. I hit the highway and the temp came down but still ran higher than normal. The car does not hesitate and runs extremely strong through all gears, really pulls good. Hoses are alright. If it was a bad head gasket I know it would run poorly so I am ruling that out right now. Could either the thermostat or water pump be working intermittently? Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way I have searched the forum and have not come across anyone discussing the same problem.
