hey there guys, i just purchased an 1993 240sx that is 100% stock with 243k miles. The problem im having after the engine get near or to temperatures the car has now power after 3500rpms, but if i stay on it, i can feel the power kick back in at around 5800rpm.

Im stumped, i changed maf sensor and cleaned them both before use, (meaning i cleaned the used one i got before i put it on, and it was in alot better shape, looking wise)

The guy i bought the car from put new plugs, wires, distibutor cap and rotor button along with the fuel filter. from the 3 days of ownership ive learned it could be the following:

temperature sensor for the ecu not gauge.Coil to distributorclogged catAny takers?

In the mornings if i get right in and start driving it pulls like a beast then it gets up to temperature just after wrappin out first and second gear that quick and wont have any balls after that.

as far as i know it has an o2 sensor i have looked at that, theres no check engine light, i also got a chance to pull the coolant temp sensor plug off today and the inside of the connectors were green, like corrosion green. I took some battery terminal cleaner and sprayed it about 4 or 5 time and then sprayed it would some brake parts cleaner like stuff but is safe on electronics, and the **** still wouldnt come off, i could scrape it with a small flat head and get some of it off, but not were it need to be off.

Does anyone know of anything or any kinda cleaner i can use to just spray the corrosion off without damaged the plug or wires? this no power crap after 3500rpms is pissing me off, i have yet to see what this car can do.

the engine temp sensor lets the ecu know when to switch to closed loop mode so that it starts reading the sensor and adjusting things when needed. before that it runs on a predetermined tune.
