good question, consider how old yours probably is tho. Mines probably got the full 218k miles on it. I have no idea, so for me a replacement is just a good idea.

I THINK IT CAN HANDLE ABOUT 275HP BEFORE IT STARTS TO STRESS OUT.

QUICK TIP ON FUEL PUMPS:FUEL PUMPS ARE DESIGN TO HANDLE 20 VOLTS MAX 8 VOLTS MIN.12 VOLTS IS EFFICENT BECAUSE MOST CARS ARE 12VOLT SYSTEMS. NOW IF YOU UP THE VOLTAGE TO SAY 18VOLTS YOU'LL GET WAY MORE PRODUCTIVITY OUT OF THE PUMP ALLOWING FOR MORE HORSEPOWER. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND I RECOMMENDA NEW FUEL PUMP WHEN DOING THIS.

IMO i wouldnt boost without a new fuel pump. its a very good, cheap, saftey precaution.

if you accidentally lean out because your pump cant keep up, boom. no more engine.

It's 100 bucks... thats nothing in comparison to the cost of an RB series engine if the fuel pump fails.

lol i invite you to do some research on how accurate an AF gauge is.

its not ery accurate, more like a fancy light show than a gauge on how your engine is running.

you want an accurate reading you need a wideband o2 sensor.

a/f ratio meter could be a wideband...

fjo has a digital readout, it's classified as an air/fuel ratio meter.

a stock type o2 sensor is not sensitvite enough to give an accurate reading on a AF meter.

it has nothing to do with the gauge, the stock o2 sensor isnt made for showing a multi level readout.

He never said what sensor he is using is all I am trying to say. You are most likely right in guessing that he is using the stock one tho.

LOL if he wont shell out 100$ for a fuel pump what are the odds he is using a wideband o2 sensor

those damn things are ****ing expensive.

All I was saying is that if I went extremely lean the gauge would notice but Im not going to try and boost an rb without sufficent fuel in the first place,

But as for my ka24 thats another story... I want it to blow up for a better reason than running lean. and that will give me a good reason to start the swap.

thanx

heres the thing about thatrunning lean in GENERAL, yes you will see it on the gauge

but if something happens and you run extremley lean at just the wrong time, boom. you detonate.

I think it was PSI 240sx on FA that was running 750cc injectors with his stock S14 fuel pump on a KAT. But, as was said, if you have high mileage on your stock one it's a good investment.
