Anyone who buys the SAFC or Z32 MAFS in order to gain more power does not have any idea what they are doing. Of course changing a MAFS will not improve horsepower. The main purpose of the SAFC is to convert voltage and ever so slightly modify the signal, nothing more.
I used an SAFC to flatten out some holes in my powerband after some minor engine work, it was tuned on a dyno and while not providing much if any hp gains it cleaned up the power curve. It is a piggyback signal system and definately no substitute for a standalone engine control system.
The car shouldnt run super rich with those parts, if you install an SAFC correctly it will run the exact same until you modify the fuel points.
