s13 sr20det rough at idle

so my car runs fine. but at idle it runs rough. my shifter shakes in the transmission and my exhaust shakes and the motor kind of shudders but still has a pretty smooth id. it just does this shuddering thing. the car doesnt turn off or anything and it doesnt effect my launches... my car is a daily driver so any help is appreciated. i do my own work so please if u have an idea i have to time to try it.

Are you running a electric fan?

i have a 12in perma cool fan with stat

got it from heavy throttle before.

check your coolant level and try to get rid of air in the cooling system if it have it.does it shudder like its gonna die? may its just worn motor/transmission mounts

Does it run fine when the fan is off?Is there any leaks to the AICV?

when i dive the car it runs ok. but the second i come off the gas and the motor goes back to idle it shakes. theres some sort of tapping noise that only happens when at idle and its not consistent with the revs of the motor. its random leading me to believe maybe there is something hitting the block or head because of the extreme shaking.

we took the head off and it looked quite peachy clean no twisted bolts both cams are in place and there was no debris.

there has to def be a mount broken because it shakes violently but does not die and if u slowly open the throttle it revs fine the bov works when u come off the throttle.

if anyone has any ideas or spare motor mounts please help.

the motor shakes at idle like a motor does when u crank it to start. runs fan regardless of electric fan. runs fine once in gear and above 1200 rpms

what are the recommended way of getting the air out of my coolant system

There is a screw on the water neck under the CAS

hey zach, consequently my names zak. i found out what the problem was the spark plug in my number 4 cylinder was effed swapped that out and the entire problem went away.

first checked the injector plusthen check the plugsthen coil packs

that the checking order if anyone else has this problem
