I have swapped SR20DET RedTop into EU s13 with CA18DET. Everything went ok, but now I have problem with idle. It looks like there is a problem with MAF.
I have made some movies with engine working.
1). This is how engine works with disconnected MAF

2). MAF disconnected, then MAF is connected while running:

3). MAF connected:

I have to extended harness to MAF, because car is LHD. I have checked and ECU gets proper voltage from MAF and it is about 0,8V at starting the engine. I have checked all sensor (tps, ECU coolant temp sensor,IACV) and they look ok, proper voltage and proper resistance. I have checked boost leaks, but there is only one very little between turbo and MAF (under 4bars of pressure).

I haven't cleaned IACV yet. I will do this on weekend and I will check ECU codes.
I haven't touch CAS since I bought this engine.

I would definitely start with trying to swap in another MAF...

I have found that my problem could be MAF. I have engine form 180SX with loom. I have bought engine without MAF, so I have bought MAF from S14 SR20DET. Lately I have read that I need the original one, because the one from S14 has different electric characteristic.

Truth... There's a write-up on the first page of this SR forum that explains how to safely use a KA MAF.

EDIT: Here's the link; s14-sr20det-maf-alternative-ka24e-maf-sohc-t412845.html

I have looked there, but I don't have KA MAF. So if I have to buy new MAF, I prefere one from SR20DET from s13.

Do the S13 and S14 MAFs run the same? I thought there was a difference in them..

There is difference, You can see it in movies. I am using MAF from s14, engine works like crap. I have found info that is normal situation and I need MAF from 180SX (s13 with SR20DET)

Ack. I just noticed your title said S13. You said you had an S14 maf, so I assumed you had an S14 SR. My bad.

Not that simple... That would require some sort of tune.

And buy SA or piggyback. I have spent lot of money to buy SR, so I don't have any extra funds in this year.
And I have already MAF from RB25DET. For me it will be enough.

I have bought red top maf, but I am still waiting to get it. It takes some time to get it from UK to Poland during xmas. But I think that this is the problem. Other one problem can be IAVC, maybe it needs cleaning. I hope that changing MAF solves my problem.

Problem solved. I got MAF from RedTop (52f00) and the engine works great. Now it needs idle rev adjustment.
