S13 SR20DET problem need help

I just installed the s13 sr20det engine in my s13 240sx and a problem i am facing now is when i turn the steering wheel its like its hitting something. I look down under the hood and it seems to be hitting this little steel pipe near the turbo i think this pipe is for the smog but im not sure. I need help to where I can get steering back to my car anything said will help.
