Today has to be one of the best days of my life! The car is alive and running great!! :ylsuper

The front clip that came from Phase2 fired up just fine after the rebuild. The first phase of the project is almost complete. I just need to get a larger fuel pump, get the gauges wired up, get an HKS Hiper exhaust and dial the boost up to 14psi. Right now it's running a totally stock 7psi into a 3 inch HKS downpipe and a restrictive as hell stock exhaust.

The engine totally overpowers the weak *** suspension though. If I was into drifting, the setup would be great. With just a little too much gas, the back end steps right out. I look forward to one day getting some Ground Controls and KYBs to make the driving experience more street friendly.

It too will be one of the best days of your life. =) I totally understand how people get addicted to boost now. When I took the car around the block near my mechanic's, I was thinking that 7psi was good enough, and it was good enough to get up to 70 going down some deserted little side streets. But getting out onto the coast highway and stretching it out a little bit, the boost that comes on around 3500 RPM doesn't seem so exhilerating by the time you're near 7000 and ready to shift.

None the less, it's still more than enough power to get into trouble with on the street. I really look forward to getting it dialed in and the boost cranked up a bit. 14psi might be a little bit of a dream, but I'll have to see what the A/F and EGT gauges say about it.

Wow, this is really inspiring. I just need to get my harness serviced and then I'm ready to swap. well, I also need a few radiator hoses. I'm so stoked.

So did anything in the swap make you stumble or anything? Did you forget any parts and have to run out to get them? I'm just wanting to know so that I don't have to make the same mistakes.

Mucho congrats man.

The only real issue that came up was Fidanza shipped an SR20DE flywheel instead of the DET one. So for the sake of going ahead with the project and not waiting around, we used the stock flywheel. I'm just going to get the cost of the flywheel credited back to me for now, and eventually get around to it during phase 2 (suspension, LSD and flywheel).
